Alan Wray Tudyk, pronounced TEW-dik, was born on March 16, 1971, in El Paso, Texas, USA. He is an actor who has appeared in many movies and TV shows.

In movies, he’s been in films like “28 Days” in 2000 with Sandra Bullock, “A Knight’s Tale” in 2001, and “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” in 2004. He did the voice and motion capture for Sonny in “I, Robot” in 2004 and was in “3:10 to Yuma” in 2007. Alan starred in the funny horror movie “Tucker & Dale vs. Evil” in 2010. He also acted in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” in 2011, “42” in 2013, and “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” in 2015.

Alan Tudyk is known for his TV roles too. He played Wash in the show “Firefly” from 2002 to 2003. The show became very popular even though it only had one season. He played the same character in the movie “Serenity,” which continued the story in 2005. Alan also acted in “Arrested Development,” “Dollhouse,” and the animated show “Young Justice.”

Alan Tudyk was raised in Plano, Texas, and went to Plano Senior High School. He studied drama at Lon Morris College in Texas and briefly attended Juilliard School in New York.
