Aldis Alexander Basil Hodge, born on September 20, 1986, is an actor from the United States. He has been in different movies and TV shows. Some of his important roles include Alec Hardison in the TV show Leverage, MC Ren in the movie Straight Outta Compton, Levi Jackson in Hidden Figures, and Hawkman in the DC film Black Adam. He was also in the animated film Green Lantern: Beware My Power as John Stewart/Green Lantern.
Aldis Hodge was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina. His parents, Aldis Basil Hodge and Yolette Evangeline Richardson, were in the U.S. Marine Corps. His mom is from Florida, and his dad is from Dominica. His older brother is actor Edwin Hodge. Aldis played the clarinet and the violin when he was a kid, and he still plays the violin. He went to ArtCenter College of Design in California. Besides acting, Aldis designs watches, writes, and paints. He even made his own luxury watch brand called A. Hodge Atelier. He talks about the need for more diversity in the watchmaking industry.
In 2007, Aldis got a part in the TV show Leverage as Alec Hardison. In 2009, he got nominated for a Saturn Award for his role in Leverage.
In 2019, he started playing Decourcy Ward in the TV show City on a Hill. In 2020, it was confirmed that he would be Hawkman in the movie Black Adam. In October 2022, it was announced that he would be the main character, Alex Cross, in the Amazon Prime Video series Cross based on James Patterson’s novels.
