Christopher Jacob Abbott, born on February 10, 1986, is an actor from America. He is famous for his roles in movies that are not made by big studios.
In 2011, Abbott started his career in movies with “Martha Marcy May Marlene” and on Broadway with “The House of Blue Leaves.” After that, he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead for his role in the movie “James White” in 2015. He played astronaut David Scott in the movie “First Man” in 2018. Abbott also acted in many other movies like “A Most Violent Year,” “It Comes at Night,” “Piercing,” “Possessor,” “Black Bear,” “On the Count of Three,” “Sanctuary,” and “Poor Things.”
On TV, Abbott was in the Hulu series “Catch-22” in 2019 and got nominated for a Golden Globe Award. He was also in the HBO series “Girls” from 2012 to 2016, the USA Network series “The Sinner” in 2017, and the Apple TV+ series “The Crowded Room” in 2023.
