Dylan Nicole Gelula is an actress from America. You might recognize her as Xanthippe from the TV show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She’s also been in some indie movies. Her first big movie role was in a romantic drama called First Girl I Loved in 2016. After that, she acted in other films like Flower, Support the Girls, and Her Smell.
When she was young, she grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She went to Lower Merion High School but didn’t like it much. She felt lonely and often skipped classes. Eventually, she dropped out and moved to Los Angeles when she was just seventeen.
Dylan started acting when she was very young, just ten years old. She was in a movie called Lady in the Water. But she didn’t watch it until much later. When she was in sixth grade, she got a manager and started auditioning for more roles. Even before she moved to LA, she starred in a play called August: Osage County.
In LA, she worked odd jobs like being a waitress and working in a store called Wasteland. But she kept auditioning and got roles in TV shows like NCIS and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
She auditioned for the role of Xanthippe on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt by sending in a video because she was in LA and casting was in New York. She got the part and became well-known for it.
Apart from acting, she also started a podcast called Lecture Hall with Broti Gupta. And she acted in a movie called Shithouse, which won an award at a film festival. In 2023, she was in another movie called Dream Scenario, where she played a character named Molly.
