Harris Dickinson, born on June 24, 1996, is an actor from England. He started acting on British TV and got his first big role in the movie Beach Rats (2017). For this role, he was nominated for an award called the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead. He also played John Paul Getty III in the TV series Trust (2018).
Dickinson has acted in several movies since then, including Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), The King’s Man (2021), Triangle of Sadness (2022), Where the Crawdads Sing (2022), and The Iron Claw (2023). He also appeared in the miniseries A Murder at the End of the World (2023). He has been nominated for two BAFTA Awards.
Dickinson was born on June 24, 1996, in Leytonstone, East London, and grew up in Highams Park. He left school at 17, where he was studying film and theatre. He almost joined the Royal Marines but decided to go back to acting with the help of his coach at RAW Academy in London.
In 2016, Dickinson played a young man named Frankie, who was struggling with his sexuality, in the movie Beach Rats. His performance was praised, and he was nominated for awards for it.
In 2018, he starred in the TV series Trust as John Paul Getty III. In 2019, he voiced a character in the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and also starred in the movie The Darkest Minds.
In 2021, he played Conrad Oxford in The King’s Man, the third Kingsman movie, which earned him his first BAFTA nomination.
In 2022, he played a model on a cruise in the movie Triangle of Sadness. The movie won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival. He also starred in the film adaptation of the book Where the Crawdads Sing and was in the limited series A Murder at the End of the World, which premiered in November 2023. He was nominated for a British Academy Television Award for his role in this series.
In 2023, Dickinson played an estranged father in the film Scrapper, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He also portrayed David Von Erich in the movie The Iron Claw and was cast in the film Babygirl.
