Jonas Dassler (born March 22, 1996) is a German actor who works in both theater and film.
Jonas Dassler was born in Remscheid, Germany. When he was in eighth grade, he joined the theater club at Ernst-Moritz-Arndt high school. After finishing high school in 2014, he went on to study acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts “Ernst Busch” in Berlin.
In 2016, Jonas played the main role in the play Danton’s Death at the Schaubühne theater in Berlin. Starting from the 2017/18 season, he became a regular actor at the Maxim Gorki Theatre, performing in many plays.
Jonas also appeared in films. In LOMO–The Language of Many Others, his performance was praised by Variety magazine, noting he had strong heartthrob potential. In June 2018, it was announced that Jonas would play the lead role of serial killer Fritz Honka in Fatih Akin’s movie Der goldene Handschuh (The Golden Glove). For this role, he was nominated for the Best Actor award at the German Film Awards.
