Lee Majdoub, born on May 31, 1982, is an actor who comes from Lebanon and Canada. He’s well-known for playing Agent Stone in the movies Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022), and he’ll be in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024). In a fan-made film called Pokémon Apokélypse (2010), he acted as Ash Ketchum. He’s also been on TV in shows like The 100 and Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. In 2023, Majdoub was Basim Ibn Ishaq in the Assassin’s Creed Mirage video game by Ubisoft.
Majdoub was born in Tripoli, Lebanon. He moved around when he was young, living in Italy and Switzerland before settling in Ottawa, Canada when he was 9 years old. Later on, his family moved to Montreal. Majdoub graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2005. Acting became part of his life when his sister suggested he take acting classes at 20 years old while he was still in school.
Majdoub’s acting career started with a small role on TV in 2007 in a show called Bionic Woman. After that, he kept acting in small parts in both movies and TV shows. In the early to mid-2010s, he appeared in shows like Arrow, Once Upon a Time, Unreal, and Supernatural. He also played Carter in the movie See No Evil 2, which was directed by Jen and Sylvia Soska. He worked with them again in a part of ABCs of Death 2.
In 2013, Majdoub acted in a play called Helen’s Necklace at the Belfry Theatre. Two years later, he was in another play there called Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.
Majdoub got a big break in 2017 when he was on Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency as Silas Dengdamor in its second season. His performance won him an award for “Best Male Guest Performance in a Dramatic Series” at the 2018 Leo Awards. From 2019 onwards, he had recurring roles in shows like You Me Her and The 100. He was nominated for “Best Guest Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series” at the Leo Awards for his work in both shows.
In September 2018, Majdoub got a role in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie as Agent Stone. Fans of the Sonic games really liked his character and how he acted alongside Jim Carrey’s Doctor Robotnik. He returned to play Agent Stone again in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which was announced in September 2021.
In September 2022, Majdoub shared that he would be doing voice acting as Basim Ibn Ishaq in the Assassin’s Creed Mirage video game. He replaced Carlo Rota, who voiced an older Basim in a different Assassin’s Creed game called Valhalla.
