Neal McDonough is an American actor. He was born on February 13, 1966, in Dorchester, Massachusetts. His parents, Catherine and Frank McDonough, were motel owners who came from Ireland. Neal grew up in Barnstable, Massachusetts, and he was called “Headster” by his brothers because of the size of his head. He went to Barnstable High School and later attended Syracuse University, graduating with a degree in Fine Arts in 1988. He also studied classical theatre at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Neal McDonough has had a successful acting career. He is known for his roles in TV shows like Band of Brothers, Boomtown, and Desperate Housewives. He has also appeared in movies such as Star Trek: First Contact, Minority Report, and Marvel Cinematic Universe films. McDonough has lent his voice to characters like Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk animated series.

In his personal life, Neal McDonough is a devout Catholic. He married Ruvé Robertson in 2003, and they have five children. McDonough has chosen not to do intimate scenes in movies or TV shows due to his faith and respect for his wife. He was even let go from the TV series Scoundrels because he refused to do such scenes. Despite this, he has earned recognition and praise for his diverse roles in the entertainment industry. In 2022, he was a guest artist and narrator for the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Program.
