Paul Mescal is an actor from Ireland. He was born in Maynooth on February 2, 1996. He became famous for his role in the TV series Normal People in 2020. For this role, he won a BAFTA TV Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award.
Paul studied acting at The Lir Academy in Dublin. Before acting, he played Gaelic football and was a member of the Maynooth GAA club. He started acting on stage when he was 16, and later graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Acting.
In addition to Normal People, Paul has acted in films like The Lost Daughter and God’s Creatures. His role as a troubled father in Aftersun earned him nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Film Award. Paul also won a Laurence Olivier Award for his stage performance in A Streetcar Named Desire.
