He’s won awards for his role on the show, like the Primetime Emmy Award four times. He’s also been in other movies and TV series, like Elf, The Station Agent, and X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Peter has a type of dwarfism called achondroplasia, and he’s 4 feet 5 inches tall. He uses his fame to make people aware of dwarfism. He studied acting at Bennington College and started his career in theater and independent films.

In his early career, he faced challenges finding roles because he didn’t want to play typical roles for people with dwarfism, like elves or leprechauns. But in 2003, he got his big break with The Station Agent, and things started looking up.

Peter is also active in advocating for animal rights. He’s been a vegetarian since he was 16 and a vegan since 2014. He’s married to Erica Schmidt, a theater director, and they have two children.
