Stephan Kampwirth (born March 20, 1967) is a German actor who works in theater and on screen.

Kampwirth finished high school at Franz Stock High School in Arnsberg in 1986. After high school, he worked as an ambulance driver in Munich. From 1989 to 1992, he trained as an actor at the Hamburg drama studio with Hildburg Frese. He then acted in theaters like the Schiller Theater in Berlin, the Burgtheater in Vienna, and the Kammerspiele in Munich. He worked with directors such as Leander Haußmann, Dieter Dorn, Georg Ringsgwandl, and Helmut Griem.

Kampwirth started his film and TV career in the early 1990s with small roles in TV shows like Großstadtrevier, Wolffs Revier, and Tatort. He became more well-known with the TV miniseries Ein unmöglicher Mann and the film Der Mann von Nebenan, where he played Lukas Lander. Since 2007, he has been part of the Hamburg Kammerspiele ensemble in Hamburg. From 2013 to 2015, he played Dr. Bode in the TV series Lerchenberg. In 2016, he appeared in the film Agnes as Walter Richter, acting alongside Odine Johne. Since 2017, he has played a main role as Peter Doppler in the Netflix science fiction series Dark.
