Taylour Dominique Paige-Angulo is an American actress and dancer. She’s most famous for playing Aziah “Zola” King in the movie Zola (2020), which won her an award for Best Female Lead from the Independent Spirit Awards. You might also recognize her from her role as Ahsha Hayes in the TV show Hit the Floor, as well as in movies like White Boy Rick (2018), Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (2020), and Boogie (2021).
In 2022, Paige tried music, and her song “We Cry Together,” made with Kendrick Lamar, got very popular and even got her a Grammy Award nomination.
Taylour Dominique Paige was born on October 5, 1990, in Santa Monica, California. She grew up in Inglewood, California, with her older brother Travis. Paige started dancing at age 2 and trained at various places before studying with choreographer Debbie Allen and later attending Loyola Marymount University.
After being a Los Angeles Laker Girl, Paige appeared in commercials and got roles in films and TV shows, including a part in High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008). Her big break came with Hit the Floor, and she’s since starred in several successful films.
Paige was previously in a relationship with actor Jesse Williams. She got married to fashion designer Gary “Rivington Starchild” Angulo in October 2022.
