“Alto Knights” is a new movie from America about gangsters. Barry Levinson is the person who tells everyone what to do in the movie. Nicholas Pileggi wrote the story for the movie.
The leading actor in the movie is Robert De Niro. He plays two important roles in the movie. One is called Vito Genovese, and the other is Frank Costello. Both of these characters are big bosses in gangs during the 1950s.

Premise of Alto Knights
Vito Genovese and Frank Costello were both influential leaders in the Italian-American mob. Genovese wanted to harm Costello, so he planned an attack on him. Luckily, Costello didn’t die, but he got hurt during the attack. Because of this, he made a big decision. He chose to stop being a part of the Mafia and retire from that life. This event changed things in the world of organized crime among Italian Americans.

Production
The movie was an idea since the 1970s, but no big movie companies wanted to make it for a long time. Then, in May 2022, Warner Bros. Pictures started working on it, and in August of that same year, they said it could go ahead. The script was written by Nicholas Pileggi, and Barry Levinson directed the film. It stars Robert De Niro, who plays two roles.
Later, in October 2022, Debra Messing and Kathrine Narducci joined the group of actors. Then, in January 2023, Cosmo Jarvis also joined the team.
In the movie, they used unique vehicle covers to make the old cars and trucks look new. They filmed the movie in December 2022 in Ohio. To do this, they had to close part of US 35 in Greene County and also part of SR 123 in the more extensive Cincinnati area. After that, they moved to the neighbourhoods around Cincinnati to keep filming.
In October 2023, they changed the movie’s name to “Alto Knights.”
Release
The movie would come out on February 2, 2024, but things changed. There was a strike, so the people making the movie thought about putting it out in 2025 instead. This happened because of a problem called the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Another movie, Beetlejuice 2, was also delayed to 2025.
But then, it got sorted out. They decided to release the movie on November 15, 2024, later than planned. This change happened officially just three days after they thought about delaying it to 2025.
