It’s coming out in the United States on February 2, 2024. Universal Pictures and Apple Original Films will release it in theaters, and later, it will be on Apple TV+.
Premise of Argylle
Elly Conway is a quiet writer who likes staying at home. But when the stories she writes start matching up with a dangerous group’s actions, she gets pulled into the world of actual spying. Aiden, a spy in disguise, comes to protect her from danger. Along with her cat Alfie, Elly is suddenly in a secret world where things aren’t as they seem.

Production
In June 2021, they told everyone about a new movie called Argylle. Matthew Vaughn will direct and make the movie with Marv Studios. They picked a group of actors for the movie over the next few months. Jason Fuchs wrote the script from a book by a new writer named Elly Conway. Dua Lipa acts in the movie and will make new music for it.
In August 2021, Apple TV+ bought the movie rights for $200 million. Vaughn said he got more time to work on the movie because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He says the movie is his way of showing love to action movies from the 1980s like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. He picked Henry Cavill for a significant action hero role, saying Cavill was perfect. They started filming in London and went to different places in Europe. They used studios in Greenford, Park Royal, and Bovingdon and filmed in Greece and the United States.
Some people questioned if Elly Conway, the new writer, was honest because there was little information about her. They found an Instagram account with no posts and a short bio that says she lives in the United States. Also, her name is spelled differently, as Ellie, on a book publisher’s website. They tried to contact her but couldn’t. The movie trailer shows that the main character in the movie is also the writer of the Argylle books.
Release
In June 2023, they said the movie would appear in theaters on February 2, 2024, through Universal Pictures and Apple Original Films. After that, it would be available on Apple TV+, but they didn’t say when exactly.
