Guntur Kaaram (pronounced Guntur Kaaram) is a new action movie from India, in the Telugu language. It’s about to come out soon. Trivikram Srinivas wrote and directed it, and S. Radha Krishna made it happen through Haarika & Hassine Creations. The movie stars Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishna, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, and Brahmanandam.

They officially announced the movie in May 2021. They started filming on September 12, 2022, at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Thaman S made the music, Manoj Paramahamsa did the camera work, and Naveen Nooli edited it.

Guntur Kaaram will come out in theaters all around the world on January 12, 2024, at the same time as Sankranti.

Production Of Guntur Kaaram

Development

On May 1, 2021, they said they were making a new movie called SSMB28. At first, they said it would be an exciting action movie. But after they started filming, there were problems between the people working on it. So, they stopped making it for a while and changed the story. After waiting for a long time, the director Trivikram made a new story. Now, instead of action, it’s more about family fun. They threw away the scenes they already filmed and started over with new action scenes that fit the new story. The movie is made by S. Radha Krishna from Haarika & Hassine Creations. They named the movie “Guntur Kaaram” on May 31, 2023.

On February 3, 2022, they had a special ceremony at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad. The actors and everyone working on the movie were there, like Pooja Hegde, the producer S. Radha Krishna, music maker Thaman S, camera person P. S. Vinod, editor Naveen Nooli, designer A. S. Prakash, and the stunt team Ram Lakshman.

Casting

In August 2021, Pooja Hegde was said to be the main actress in a movie. This would be her second time working with Mahesh Babu and her third time with Trivikram. Samyuktha Menon was supposed to be the second main actress at first, but then Sreeleela was chosen instead.

In February 2023, Ramya Krishna joined to play an important part in the movie. In March, Prakash Raj was also added to play Mahesh Babu’s grandfather. Jayaram joined later on. In April, Jagapathi Babu was said to play a character described as very nice but also a bit scary.

But in June 2023, Pooja Hegde had to leave the movie because of some schedule problems. Meenakshi Chaudhary replaced her for a smaller role. Sreeleela then took over the main role Hegde was supposed to play.

Filming

Filming for the movie started on September 12, 2022, in a place called Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. They did exciting action scenes first, but then they decided not to use one of those fights later on. They paused filming to change the story from being mostly about action to being more for families.

They started filming again on January 18, 2023, in Sarathi Studios, also in Hyderabad. They made a big house for the movie, spending a lot of money on it. They filmed in different places in Hyderabad until April 6 for the second part of the movie.

After they had filmed more than half of the movie, the person in charge of the camera left because they didn’t agree on some creative stuff. They got a new person to do the filming. The third part of the filming started on June 24.

Music Of Guntur Kaaram

Thaman S. made the music for the movie. He worked on the songs and the background music. This was his fifth time working with Babu. Before this, they worked together on Dookudu (2011), Businessman (2012), Aagadu (2014), and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). He also worked with Trivikram for the third time after Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018) and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020). Thaman started making the music for the movie in June 2022. The first song, “Dum Masala,” came out on November 7, 2023, and the second song, “Oh My Baby,” was released on December 13, 2023.

Theatrical

Guntur Kaaram will come out everywhere on January 12, 2024. It was supposed to come out in theaters on April 28, 2023, but they changed it to August 11, 2023. Then they moved it again to January 13, 2024, to match Sankranti. Finally, they decided to release it earlier on January 12, 2024.
