Hanu Man is a new superhero movie from India. It’s written and directed by Prasanth Varma and produced by K. Niranjan Reddy. The movie stars Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Raj Deepak Shetty, and Vinay Rai.
The story happens in a made-up village called Anjanadri. It’s the first movie in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), followed by another called Adhira.
Hanu Man is set to come out on January 12, 2024, for the Sankranti festival.

Development
After making Zombie Reddy in 2021, Varma said he’ll make his fourth movie on May 29, 2021, which was also his birthday. He shared that this movie will be the first superhero movie in Telugu cinema. Varma mentioned in an interview with Deccan Chronicle that the movie is inspired by the Hindu God Hanuman. He said the title, Hanu-Man, is a tribute to Hanuman because many people think of Hanuman when they think of a powerful superhero in Hinduism.
Cast and crew
Anudeep Dev, Hari Gowra, and Krishna Saurabh were chosen to make the music for the movie. SB Raju Tallari edited it. Teja Sajja started acting in the movie on the first day it started. They revealed that the made-up village in the movie is called Anjanadri.
Filming
The movie started on June 25, 2021, in Hyderabad. They had a ceremony and started filming on that day. By August 2021, they finished 40% of the filming. In September 2021, they shot some action scenes and songs in places in Andhra Pradesh.
In November 2022, during an event in Hyderabad, Varma said that the money needed to make the movie became six times more than they first thought.
Music
On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Janmoshtav, a rendition of ‘Hanuman Chalisa” was released on 6 April 2023. “SuperHero HanuMan” was released on 14 November 2023.

The movie will come out on January 12, 2024, in Telugu. It will also be available in other languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.
Home media
In February 2022, the news said that ZEE5 and Zee Network bought the rights to show the movie on TV and online after it’s finished showing in theaters. They paid ₹16 crore (US$2.0 million) for the Telugu and Hindi versions of the film.
