Cast

Production

In March 2021, Dan Kunka sold his ” Lift ” script to Netflix. They planned to turn it into a movie with the help of Simon Kinberg’s and Matt Reeves’ production companies. Later that year, F. Gary Gray was chosen to direct the movie, and Kevin Hart acted and helped produce it.

They started filming the movie in February 2022 and finished in May 2022. They filmed in two places: Italy and Northern Ireland. In March, they were in Belfast at Harbour Studios. And later in May, they shot some scenes at Miramare Castle in Trieste.

Release

The movie “Lift” will be available on Netflix starting January 12, 2024. It was supposed to come out on August 25, 2023, but it got delayed because of a big problem called the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike in the United States. This strike made it hard for the movie to be promoted, so they moved the release date to January 12, 2024.
