A Real Pain is a funny and serious movie from 2024. Jesse Eisenberg made it. He wrote the story, directed it, and helped make it. The movie stars Jesse Eisenberg, Kieran Culkin, Will Sharpe, Jennifer Grey, Kurt Egyiawan, Liza Sadovy, and Daniel Oreskes. Emma Stone helped make it too.
People first watched it on January 20, 2024, at the Sundance Film Festival. It will come out in the United States on October 18, 2024.
Premise of A Real Pain
A Real Pain is about two cousins, David and Benji, who are very different from each other. They come together to travel around Poland to remember their grandmother, who they loved a lot. But things get complicated when they start arguing because of their past problems.

Production of A Real Pain
In August 2022, they said Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin will be in a movie together. Jesse Eisenberg will also be the director, and he wrote the script. Emma Stone and Dave McCary will help produce the movie. This will be Jesse Eisenberg’s second movie as both writer and director, after “When You Finish Saving the World” in 2022.
They started taking pictures for the movie in May 2023.
Release of A Real Pain
The movie first showed at a big event called the Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. on January 20, 2024. After that, a company called Searchlight Pictures bought the rights to show the movie everywhere in the world for $10 million in a fast auction that lasted all night.
It will come out in movie theaters in the United States on October 18, 2024.
