Production of A Sacrifice
Filming for the movie started in Berlin in September 2022, and it was originally called “Berlin Nobody.” The movie is a joint project between the United States and Germany. It is produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss for Scott Free Productions, along with Jonas Katzenstein, Maximilian Leo, and Georgina Pope from Augenschein FilmProduktion. Jonathan Saubach from Augenschein and Rebecca Feuer from Scott Free are also executive producers.
At first, actress Kiernan Shipka was supposed to be in the movie along with Eric Bana, but she left before filming started in September 2022. In May 2022, Sylvia Hoeks joined the cast. In September 2022, Sadie Sink, Jonas Dassler, and Sophie Rois were added to the cast. Filming finished by December 2022. Stephan Kampwirth and Lara Feith were announced to be part of the cast in May 2024.
This means that the movie started filming in Berlin with a different title and involves both American and German producers. Some actors joined the cast before filming started, and some left or were added later. The filming was completed by the end of 2022, and more actors were announced in 2024.
