Development
In December 2020, people really liked Jared Rosenberg’s screenplay Flight Risk. They put it on a list called the “Black List.” This list is for screenplays that haven’t been turned into movies yet, but people like them a lot. In May 2023, it was said that Mel Gibson will be the director and Mark Wahlberg will be the main actor. Then, in January 2024, Topher Grace and Michelle Dockery also joined the group of actors in the movie.
Filming
Filming for the movie started in Las Vegas on June 16, 2023. They filmed for two days in Mesquite, Nevada in July 2023. They also filmed in Alaska. The filmmakers got permission from SAG-AFTRA to film during their strike in 2023.
Release
Flight Risk will come out in the United States on October 18, 2024.
