About The Deliverance
The Deliverance is a new American supernatural horror movie directed by Lee Daniels. The story is written by David Coggeshall and Elijah Bynum. The movie stars Andra Day, along with Rob Morgan, Caleb McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Tasha Smith, Omar Epps, Mo’Nique, and Glenn Close. It is based on the true story of the Latoya Ammons family and their experiences with possession. The film will be available on Netflix.

Production of The Deliverance
In January 2022, it was announced that Lee Daniels would direct a movie, with Andra Day, Octavia Spencer, Glenn Close, Rob Morgan, Caleb McLaughlin, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor starring in it. In April 2022, Mo’Nique replaced Octavia Spencer in the cast. That same month, Tasha Smith joined the cast as well. Other actors in the movie include Omar Epps, Demi Singleton, Miss Lawrence, and Anthony B. Jenkins.
The movie was filmed in Pittsburgh in the middle of 2022.

Release of The Deliverance
In January 2022, Netflix won a competition to buy the rights to a movie for over $65 million. The deal includes the movie’s budget and other costs. The movie will be shown in some theaters on August 16, 2024, and will be available to stream on Netflix starting August 30.
