The company will work hard to start “a new working time between Hollywood and Saudi Arabia.”
This week, Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing entertainment industry added a famous new film company.
3SIX9 Studios was launched at the Cannes Film Festival by Saudi Sheikh Mohammed El Khereiji, who has invested in Hollywood films for years and will be chairman; Daya Fernández, who has worked with Tom Cruise and will be CEO; Inga V. Smith, a former Paramount executive who will be president; and Amaury Nolasco, an actor/producer best known for the TV series Prison Break.
The company will work to create “a new era in Hollywood-Saudi entertainment collaboration,” the team said on Monday. They will partner with influential Saudi leaders in finance, production, and business to support new film projects and Yellow Camel Productions, a top Saudi Arabian production company.
The company has already planned several projects, including Bunny Run, a fast-paced action comedy written by Jayson Rothwell, which will be filmed in Saudi Arabia in fall 2024; Scotland Yank, a funny new version of Sherlock Holmes by Mitch Klebanoff, which will be filmed in the United States and Saudi Arabia; Patrol, an exciting action-horror film like Predator; and No Night So Long: Double Clutch, a TV series created by Ilya Naishuller and Will Stewart.
