Jessica Lange, who has won two Oscars, will receive the CineMerit Award at the Munich International Film Festival this summer. This award recognizes her fantastic work in movies.
Jessica Lange won Oscars for her Tootsie roles in 1983 and Blue Sky in 1995. She has been nominated for an Oscar six times in total. Besides the Oscars, she has won three Emmy Awards out of ten nominations and five Golden Globes out of sixteen. She has also won a Tony award.
Recently, Jessica Lange has been known for her work with Ryan Murphy on American Horror Story, where she has been nominated for five Emmys and won twice. She also starred in Feud: Bette and Joan.
Jessica Lange is currently nominated for another Tony award for her performance in Mother Play. At the film festival, some of her movies, selected by Lang’sill, will be shown.
Alongside the CineMerit Award, Munich’s Deutsches Theatermuseum will host an exhibition of Jessica Lange’s photLange project, Dérive. These photos show special moments she captured during the COVID-19 lockdown in New York City.
The festival directors say that Jessica’s actress and photography make her an excellent choice for this award.
