Justin Timberlake Gives Heartfelt Speech in First Concert After Alleged DWI Arrest

“It’s been a rough week, but I want you to know I appreciate you being here,” the singer-actor told the audience in Chicago.

Justin Timberlake shared a sincere message with his fans during his first concert after getting arrested for allegedly driving drunk in the Hamptons.

“We’ve been through a lot together, good times and bad. This week has been tough, but I’m here and you’re here, and that’s what matters right now,” Timberlake said to the cheering crowd in Chicago, as shown in videos posted on X (formerly Twitter).

His Friday concert at the United Center in Chicago was his first performance since his arrest by local police in Sag Harbor, New York, earlier in the week. He was reportedly charged with driving while intoxicated and released without bail after a court hearing.

A police statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter said Timberlake was pulled over and found to be driving drunk. He spent the night in custody before his court appearance.

Timberlake is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, supporting his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought I Was. Despite the recent incident, People magazine had previously reported that he planned to continue the tour.

In closing his speech on Friday, Timberlake said, “I know I can be difficult sometimes, but you keep supporting me, and I love you all for that. Thank you!”

Timberlake is scheduled to perform again at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday before heading to Madison Square Garden in New York next week.
