Anthony Mandler will direct a spy thriller about technology, which Jeffrey Greenstein’s new company, A Higher Standard, will present to buyers at the Cannes Film Festival.
Samuel L. Jackson and Henry Golding will star in “Head Games,” a suspenseful movie that blends psychology and sci-fi. It’s expected to be a popular project at this year’s Cannes film market.
Anthony Mandler, known for directing music videos and films like Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’, will direct “Head Games” from a script by Colin Liddle, who wrote for the TV movie “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels.”
In “Head Games,” Henry Golding plays Jacob, a spy pretending to be a chef for Graham (played by Samuel L. Jackson), a former CEO with a groundbreaking invention. Jacob’s real mission is to steal this invention, leading to a twist-filled story of mind games between them.
Filming for “Head Games” begins in October. A Higher Standard is handling international sales and will promote the movie at Cannes. CAA Media Finance and Range Media Partners will manage sales within the United States.
Jeffrey Greenstein is excited about the project, praising the script and the casting of Samuel L. Jackson and Henry Golding.
The movie is produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Fred Berger, Josh Glick, and Adonis Tountas. Several companies and individuals, including Range Media Partners and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, are involved as producers.
Henry Golding’s upcoming projects include shows on Hulu and Netflix, while Samuel L. Jackson will appear in upcoming Netflix and Peacock productions.
