Premise
Emma lives in the suburbs of New Jersey with her amazing husband and two children. But she has another life that nobody knows about. She’s a secret assassin that people pay to do dangerous jobs. Her husband, David, discovers her hidden job when they decide to make their marriage more exciting by pretending to be different people.
At first, Emma’s secret job shocks David. He never imagined that his wife could be an assassin. They talk about it, and Emma explains why she kept it hidden. She promises David that she will stop being an assassin to keep their family safe.
David feels surprised and worried. He loves Emma but doesn’t know how to handle her secret life. He wonders if they can still have a normal life together. Emma feels guilty for keeping this from him and fears it might change everything.
They both try to understand each other’s feelings. Emma wants to protect her family, but David worries about the risks. They decide to seek help from a counsellor who can guide them on how to move forward.
As they work through this tough situation, they realize how much they love each other and their family. Emma is determined to leave her dangerous job behind, and David supports her decision. They start rebuilding trust and finding new ways to strengthen their relationship.
Despite the shock and challenges, Emma and David’s love grows stronger. They learn to communicate better and appreciate each other more than ever before. And even though life gets complicated, they’re ready to face it together as a team.

Production of Role Play
In July 2020, StudioCanal and The Picture Company got the rights to make a movie called Role Play. It’s a scary story written by Seth Owen, based on an idea by George Heller. Alex Heineman and Andrew Rona will make the movie happen.
Then, in July 2021, they said Kaley Cuoco might be the main star and help make the movie. She’d work with Heineman and Rona.
In October 2021, they said Thomas Vincent would be the director. Kaley Cuoco’s part in acting and making the movie was confirmed. She’s producing it under her company, Yes, Norman Productions.
In June 2022, they said David Oyelowo would play Kaley Cuoco’s character’s husband. And Billy Bob Thornton was picked to play a mysterious person who meets the couple. But then, in July 2022, Bill Nighy replaced Thornton because Thornton had other things to do.
They also added Connie Nielsen to the cast. Then, they started filming the main scenes in July 2022 at Babelsberg Studio in Berlin, Germany.
Release of Role Play
In June 2022, it was said that Amazon Prime Video was almost done deciding to show the movie in the United States and some other countries. They finished the deal in that same month.
The movie Role Play will appear on Amazon Prime Video on January 12, 2024.
