Shreyas Talpade opens up about ‘second chance at life’ post massive cardiac arrest: ‘Clinically I was dead’

Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade had a really bad heart attack on December 14, 2023, after finishing filming for his new movie, Welcome To The Jungle. People were really surprised and worried when they heard about it. Many people on social media sent him good wishes for getting better quickly. After being in the hospital, he is now getting better at home. In a recent talk, he said that he was clinically dead when he was taken to the hospital. It’s like he got a second chance at life, and he feels really lucky to be alive.

Shreyas Talpade feels gratitude for a second chance at life post-heart attack

Talking to Bombay Times, Shreyas Talpade shared that he’s really grateful to be alive after a very serious health scare. He explained, “I was clinically dead. My heart had a big problem. It was like a big alarm telling me to wake up and take it seriously.” Shreyas mentioned that this is his second opportunity at life. His doctor found that two important blood vessels in his heart were very blocked, one completely and the other 99%, so he had a stent put in through a medical procedure called angioplasty.

Shreyas Talpade says he had a history of heart ailments

The actor who played Iqbal shared that he has been working a lot for the last 2.5 years and has been traveling a lot for his movies. Even though he felt very tired in the last few months, he thought it was because he was working so much and just a bit tired. He went to the doctor, and they did some tests like ECG, 2D Echo, sonography, and blood tests. The results showed that his cholesterol was high, and he was taking medicine for it. He mentioned that he’s being careful because his family has a history of heart problems.
