Plot of Bleeding Love
A dad quietly takes his daughter, who he doesn’t live with anymore, to a place that helps people stop using drugs. He does this because she took too much of a drug, and he knows she has his problem of being addicted. He has a new family in a different place.
Production of Bleeding Love
Christine Vachon was the producer. Clara McGregor is credited as a producer for the story, along with scriptwriter Ruby Caster and producer/actress Vera Bulder. Clara McGregor’s relationship inspires the story with her father, Ewan McGregor. Even though Ewan McGregor said the film is not exactly like their real lives, it has some similarities. He mentioned in an interview that the film can be a bit like their lives, but it’s still a made-up story. The filming took twenty-two days, but Clara McGregor and the other production staff worked on it for a few months before that.
Release
The movie first showed at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, on March 11, 2023. It was called “You Sing Loud, I Sing Louder” back then. In December 2023, Vertical Entertainment got the rights to share the movie. They changed the name to “Bleeding Love” and set a date to show it in theaters across the United States on February 16, 2024.
