Lal Salaam (Red Salute) is a new movie from India. It’s a sports drama and is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The person who made it happen is Subaskaran Allirajah, and Lyca Productions made it. In the movie, you’ll see actors like Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, and Rajinikanth makes a unique appearance.

They told everyone about this movie in November 2022, and they even shared the name. They started taking pictures for the movie in March 2023 and finished in August 2023. A. R. Rahman does the music in the movie, Vishnu Rangasamy does the camera work, and B. Pravin Baaskar does the editing.

Lal Salaam will be in theaters on January 12, 2024, which is the same time as Pongal.

Production

Development

In October 2022, there was talk that Aishwarya Rajinikanth might direct a movie. People said Atharvaa would be the main actor, and Rajinikanth would have a special part in it. But in November, Aishwarya used social media to tell everyone about her new movie. It’s called Lal Salaam, and in the movie, Vishnu Vishal plays a cricketer. Vikranth is also in the main role, and Rajinikanth has a special part in it.

Filming

The main filming for the movie started on March 7, 2023, in Chennai. They had a special ceremony in December 2022 before starting. The first set of filming in Chennai finished in April. Then, they moved to Mumbai for the second set of filming in May. Rajinikanth and former cricketer Kapil Dev joined the team that month. In June, they went to Pondicherry. Rajinikanth finished his part by July 12. The team finished shooting in July, and Vishnu completed his scenes by August 5. The main filming was all done by August 7.

Music

A. R. Rahman makes the music for the movie, and it’s the first time he’s working with Aishwarya Rajinikanth. In November 2023, they said that Sony Music India bought the rights to the music. The first song, called ‘Ther Thiruvizha,’ came out on December 18, 2023.
