Production of Red One
Hiram Garcia had the idea for the movie at Seven Bucks Productions. Chris Morgan turned the idea into a script for Jake Kasdan to direct. Chris Evans joined the group of actors in January 2022. Kiernan Shipka joined them in September. Lucy Liu, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, J. K. Simmons, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju, Wesley Kimmel, and Bonnie Hunt also joined the team the next month. Ellis shared on Instagram that she and Simmons were part of the movie. Dwayne Johnson got $50 million for being part of it.
They started filming in October 2022 in Atlanta and finished in February 2023.
Release of Red One
Red One was supposed to come out in the United States for Christmas in 2023. But it didn’t come out then. They said it would come out on November 15, 2024, instead.
