Spaceman is a new movie about space. It’s directed by Johan Renck and written by Colby Day. It’s based on a book called Spaceman of Bohemia. The movie stars Adam Sandler, Paul Dano, Carey Mulligan, Kunal Nayyar, and Isabella Rossellini. It’s about an astronaut who goes to the galaxy’s edge and meets a strange creature that helps him with his problems from back home.
The movie will first be shown at a big film festival in Berlin in February 2024. Then, it’ll be available to watch on Netflix starting March 1, 2024.
Premise
A person sent into space to gather old, strange space dust starts having significant problems in their regular life back on Earth. They seek help from an ancient creature hiding on their spaceship, who has been around since the very start of time.

Production
In October 2020, Netflix said they would make a movie from the book Spaceman of Bohemia. They chose a writer, Colby Day, to make the script. The movie would be called Spaceman. Johan Renck would direct it, and Adam Sandler would star in it. Later, Carey Mulligan joined the actors. They changed the title from Spaceman of Bohemia to just Spaceman. Then, in April 2021, they said Paul Dano and Kunal Nayyar would also be in the movie.
They started filming in New York City on April 19, 2021. They finished filming on July 1, 2021, in the Czech Republic. They filmed in Prague and other places in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
Release
The movie “Spaceman” will first be shown to everyone worldwide at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in February 2024. But the movie will come out for everyone to watch on March 1, 2024. It was supposed to come out in 2023 but got delayed because of a strike that happened that year.
