The next movie about Venom, the character from Marvel Comics, is coming soon. It will be the sixth movie connected to Spider-Man made by Sony Pictures. This movie follows “Venom” from 2018 and “Venom 3 Let There Be Carnage” from 2021.

The new movie is made by Kelly Marcel, who is doing this for the first time. She’s writing the story with Tom Hardy, who is also in charge and acting in the movie as Eddie Brock and Venom.

They started planning this movie in 2018, right after the second one came out. By 2022, they were writing the story, and in 2023, they started filming in Spain but had to stop because of a strike. They started again in 2023 and plan to film some parts in London, too.

You can watch this movie in the United States on November 8, 2024.

Development of Untitled Venom 3: Let There Be Carnage sequel

Actor Tom Hardy said in August 2018 that he agreed to be in three Venom movies. Then, in September 2021, he mentioned that the people making the movies must keep making more stories about the characters from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. But they also want to connect these characters with the ones from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The director of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Andy Serkis, wants to make another Venom movie. He thinks there’s much more to show about Venom before he meets Spider-Man. They might explore places like the Ravencroft Institute and introduce more bad guys from there.

In October, Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in the Marvel movies, talked about appearing in future Venom movies. This came after he had a small part in Let There Be Carnage, using footage from the Marvel movie Spider-Man: No Way Home.

By December, they were already planning Venom 3, and Sony Pictures confirmed this at CinemaCon in April 2022. In June, Tom Hardy revealed that Kelly Marcel was writing the new movie, and he was also helping with the story. He’s set to get $20 million for being part of it.

In October, they said Kelly Marcel would write and direct the film. They plan to make this movie the end of the Venom series. Sadly, Andy Serkis won’t be able to come back as the director because he’s busy with another project called Animal Farm, which he delayed to work on Let There Be Carnage.

Pre-production of Untitled Venom 3: Let There Be Carnage sequel

In February 2023, Hardy said they started getting ready to make a movie. In April, Juno Temple might join the main actors. In May, they planned to begin filming in London in June. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Temple joined the actors. In June, they decided the movie would come out in October 2024.

However, filming had to stop in July 2023 because of an actor strike. The movie was supposed to come out on July 12, 2024, but Sony postponed it to November 8, 2024, because of the strike. They were getting ready to start filming again at that time. They eventually started filming again on November 16. They also plan to film some scenes in London.
